Safe Routes
Established in May 2006, the National Center for Safe Routes to School assists communities in enabling and encouraging children to safely walk and bike to school every day. The Center strives to equip Safe Routes to and from School programs with the knowledge and technical information to implement safe and successful strategies. |

IACP Technology Clearinghouse
The Technology Clearinghouse, established in 1997 through a cooperative agreement between the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), quickly became the exclusive resource for objective law enforcement automated data collection and information management technology. The Technology Clearinghouse was originally proposed to be a restricted access subscription based Bulletin Board Service (BBS) technology, but instead became the first law enforcement information technology resource center available openly through the internet. Today the website receives more than 3.6 million hits each year. |
